“Timeless Collage”
Instructor: Angelique Gillespie

This Class will concentrate on using prepared papers by Angelique to create 4 different compositional patterns. The Main aim in this workshop is to show the student ways to enhance their collage designs as they apply individual and unique finish techniques.

Prerequisites Required for this Advanced Class:

• Knowledge of Elements and Principles of Design
• Exposure to Compositional Design Patterns
• Basic Color Theory
• Beyond Beginner Painting Skills

Material Fee:$10, includes:

• A Large Variety of Painted Papers
• Some Acrylic Paint: Opaque and Staining
• Substrate
• Molding paste
• Medium spreaders
• Gesso
• Stencils and Stamps
• Brown Paper and Old Music Book Pages
• Dress Patterns and Newspaper
• Products to demonstrate finishing Techniques: Gloss Gel Medium, Green Scrubby, Wax Paste
• Superb Ideas

Student Supply List:

• Small Paper Scissors
• Golden or Liquitex Mate Gel Medium (will be used to glue the papers down)
• Old Brush to Apply Matte Gel Medium
• Notebook and Pencil (to Record Additional Information)
• Paper Towels and/or Baby Wipes (as Fingers get Sticky)
• Any Old Magazines to Share in Workshop (Ones You Don’t Mind Being Torn Up)
• Small Detail Brush and Fine Felt Pen (If you Have Them)
• Optional: Your Favorite Collage Papers or Paper Accents (Not Required, Just Desired)
• Bring your Basic Acrylics if you Want to Personalize your Image (Can be Done at Home)
