So, what is design? And how does an artist use design? Or why use it at all? The answer lies within us and how we use it, especially when we understand how it can enhance our visual voice.

Angelique graduated 40 years ago as a Graphic Designer in Canada and has constantly looked for answers to the questions above. For her the answers lie within understanding what are the basic elements and principles of design and how they are used effectively in mastering artistic expression. Simple exercises will be done in class time so that the student will be empowered with an understanding of what design is and how to use it effectively in future work.

For this class, please bring 1-2 paintings of your current work to use in the final exercises.
