Introduction to SoulCollage®

SoulCollage® is an intuitive collage process for self-discovery and inner exploration. Participants cut and paste images from magazines/photographs, etc. onto 5 x 8 cards, creating a personalized deck reflecting different aspects of their personality and their life. It serves as a creative tool for accessing personal wisdom and fostering self-acceptance. Through journaling and small group sharing, participants learn how to interpret their cards to discover the wisdom hidden within.

SoulCollage® was created by Seena Frost in the 1980’s incorporating her background in psychology and spirituality. This practice has evolved into a global community, currently with 6300 trained facilitators in 65 countries. All materials will be provided by the instructor. Cancellation Procedure: If you need to cancel attending this class, please send an email to Susan Ettl, Education Committee Chairperson, at SusanE@santaritaart.org in order for her to remove your name from the registration list. This will enable someone on the waiting list to take your spot.

At the studio, there will be someone there to sign people in, give name tags, and collect the material fee of $10.00.

Biography

I grew up in Maine, received my masters in social work at UC Berkeley (MSW), and am a retired clinical social worker. SoulCollage® found me late in life and I was swept away by its richness. I became a certified SoulCollage® Facilitator in 2019 and have taught classes online and at GVR. I also enjoy painting (watercolor and acrylic) and am a co-leader of the “Abstract Explorers” SIG.
